Hi,

Anyone any thoughts on the best road bike for a friend of mine, budget £500 including pedals?

Thanks

Anthony

  • It really depends on what he or she wants the bike for. Will s/he be going touring on such a bike or would they like something more lightweight than robust? By the way, that's not to say lighter bikes aren't strong. They are (Or should be) but just aren't designed for carrying baggage the way some heavier touring styled bikes would be.

What (If any) experience does your friend have cycling?

  • you need to specify what for and what sort. i'm guessing you want a folding or a unicycle???
In the valley of high oil prices the cyclist is king!

Given Anthony's use of the word 'bike', I think we can safely assume it wasn't a unicycle.
