I am in the process of deciding which new bike to treat myself to and whilst browsing have come across the Cervelo RS. I currently own a Specialized Roubaix and I like the slightly more upright ride as opposed to the more aggressive geometry of some bikes and I believe the RS is upright.
Does anyone have any experience of the RS or Cervelo in general?

They are rated alright. I haven't owned one but did test ride an RS about a month ago and I was rather impressed. Definitely a racing bike with an urge to get out of the seat and just go for it, very nice. And quite comfy on the road too.

I bought a frame, built it up with Ultegra and have ridden it on a Sportive and a few club runs. I think it is faster than my old Bianchi 928. In particular, it seems to respond well to that little extra power when you are struggling to keep a wheel, just push a little and you are there. I like the geometry - suits my riding needs. There is still a decent drop from saddle to bar height without it being uncomfortable, In summary, I like it - smooth and fast. I have not done a fast twisty descent yet, but it does handle well without being overly twitchy.

I agree that is more a comfy race bike, than a relaxed sportive bike.
