Being a complete wally- I squeezed the front brake lever after I had removed the wheel from the forks  :(

It means the gap between the 2 pads is now too small for the rotor to fit into- what is the procedure for undoing my stupidity :?

They are Juicy 3's if it makes any difference

Thanks

i souldn't laugh but i'm glad to see that i'm not he only idiot to of done this.

i did it in whistler the other week was over there on hol got there unpacked my bike threw it in the work stand started to reassemble the bike and before i put the front wheel on i thought i would try my brakes to see if the pressure on the plane had effected them i sqeezed the leaver and thought my brakes aren't working they foooooked    i then realised my mistake  i to couldn't fit my disk into my caliper.

solution undo the res on the lever 2 philps screws make sure you have it level so you dont loose fluid then pry the pistons back in with a flat screw driver. you could try to do this with out undoing the res cap to see if it will push the pistons back if not then undo it.. brakes may need to be bled after though....

    mine are avids juicy 5

It's very simple mate. Find a thin, flat object (something like a knife is good) and slot it between the pads. You can then gently push the pads back into the caliper until you have enough room for the rotor.

Same with car brakes, just push the piston back...

Another trick (if you can't get anything between the pads) is to remove the pads from the caliper and voila you have a huge area to get a flat screwdriver into!

when doing so make sure you keep the pistons straight. If you just lever one side they will twist and jam.
