There are a couple of things that you need to take into consideration:
-Mounting, I take it your hubs are 6 bolt fitting, if so then make sure the rotors are the same (watch you don't buy a center lock rotor).
-Diameter, this has to be the same (unless you want a different size for more power, in which case you will need a different mount). Make sure you measure your rotor accurately because there are normally 2 different sizes for each stage you go up in rotor size. E.g. 200mm and 203mm, different companies will use different sizes for their brakes.
-Width, make sure the Shimano rotor isn't too wide for your caliper or else it might rub a lot or not fit at all.
Think thats everything, hope this helps. Sorry for the long answer but I don't know how large your rotors are so couldn't give a quick reply.0 -
I currently have magura louise brakes with xt rotors, however am looking to upgrade.
I have floating xt rotors, and am wondering wether they will fit my proposed new brakes, hope minis.
I believe hope rotors for hope are in 140, 160 and 180, if this is the case the width will fit.
Thanks for the advice so far, it is greatly appreciated.
Thanks again

I have Hope Mini's and strongly recommend NOT getting them. I would go for the XT's, you won't be disappointed. Hope brakes might have some power but are noisy, rub, and are b@st@rds to setup! :x.

Hope also do 203mm rotors that will fit the Mono Minis, i think they just come in 5-bolt and 6-bolt fittings.
I have this setup and found them to be very good (so far).0 -

On the flip side of the coin I couldn't be happier with my new Mono Mini's. I have heard alot of stories of XT calipers leaking fluid in cold weather. I run '08 XTR centrelock rotors with the Mono Mini's and they work fine. They are whisper quiet too, no rubbing or squealing or anything. Just patience when setting them up is all it takes...0 -
I've not had any problem with my mini's other than a little squeak in the wet, but no more than my cheap mechanical discs.0
