Mavic black spokes...

I have a pair of Mavic Aksiums (black) on my new bike which is a couple of months old.

I noticed when cleaning it today, that the blacking had started to come off the spokes in a few places - paricularly on the back wheel. :evil: :evil:

It looks as if it has rubbed off.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, did you query it with the place you bought them from and what was their response?

I shall return them my to the LBS for hopefully a warranty replacement, but thought I would find out if it is a common problem or not first.

    Shouldn't happen - I've had a pair for over 12 months and are fine.

    The black finish is purely cosmetic - I doubt you've got a valid warranty claim
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
