I have just bought a secondhand bike with hope disc brakes. The problem isn't when i'm braking but its when i'm not. Its like an on and off rubbing. I've tried changing the position of the wheel and nothing seems to make a difference.

So what hope brakes are they? what have you done to them?

pulled the levers while the disc were not there? push the pistons back.

    More info needed.

I have a similar and annoying problem with a noisy front brake (Hope Mono Mini 07). I think the whole forest can hear me even when just pushing the bike along! i will be servicing them shortly but it seems to be a recurrant problem with Hope Mini's, same problem with 04 Mini's on my last bike (sold it and moved country so no more problem with noise!). i am on the verge of tossing out the Hope(less) and replacing with reliable Big S!
