Help needed please
I have just fitted a new chain to my Boardman and now its jumping gears as soon as you apply any pressure to the pedals? I have fitted a brand new chain that was the same as the original (shimano CN-HG73). I tried to reset the gears to stop the problem but couldn't! As soon as I refit the old chain the gears are sweet again? The chain seems to be trying to climb on the next sprocket?
I have had the bike for about 8 months and the original chain is stretched slightly more than the 1.0% on my wear indicator.
I suspect the cassette to be worn ?? What do you think ?
Thanks

If the gears are set right the odds are you are correct and its time for a new cassette.0

take it to a bike shop.
most likly a stiff link or poorly set gears."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
