Recommend a Tyre

My original purchase tyres are beginning to wear out, so hoping for a recommendation for some new ones.
The ones on there at the moment are Specialized Resolution 26x2.1
The kind of surfaces I ride are a bit of road, sandy/gritty/stoney cycle track/bridleway, but not really anything too muddy.
Good puncture resistance would be good too
Any good tyres someone can recommend for this type of riding?

Other people are better qualified than me to comment.
I'd bung slime in the tubes for puncture protection[/url]Richard

Thx for the link, but Im looking more for a recommendation from someone who might have bought new tyres for similar conditions.
I'd believe a recommendation from another cyclist over marketing bumpf from the manufacturer.0 -

I ride the same kind of surfaces as you and got myself some Specialized Crossroads on Friday, I did 55 miles over the weekend on them and they feel really good so far and have survived crunching through glass a few times.
I looked at the Crossroads Armadillo but at half the price I thought I'd try out the 'Flak Jacket' puncture protection on the cheaper version. So far so good.0 -
