I take pills and nose spray aswell, but the only thing that stops my nose from running is by cycling. I'll just have to ride 24/7
The vaccine needs to be prescribed by a doctor and they recommend a 3-5 year treatment schedule. I think doctors will only prescribe it if nothing else helps relieve the symptoms.
You can find everything you need to know at http://www.grazax.com

you can get desentisation injections too which have been around for a while. They work on the same princicple as Grazax and are extremely effective for a few years, but you have to have quite a few injections under medical supervision0

I suffered horribly from hayfever last year on a 10 day bike tour (think camping on grass, eating lunch on grass etc only relief was when I was actually cycling), I had taken the usual day tablets, night (drowsy) tablets, nose sprays, they helped a little but not a whole lot, it got to the point where I was going to pull out it had gotten so horrible.
After visiting the tour doctor and begging for anything else that might help he put me on something called Panafcortelone, it's part of a family of drugs called corticosteroids, have a read of the drug info attached on the link
Drug info here ... http://www.appgonline.com.au/drug.asp?d ... 0430&t=cmi
I took the tablets that night and woke up the next morning and ALL my symptoms were gone, no constant sneezing, no sneezing at all, no itchy eyes, I could breath through my nose, it was heaven. I followed the rest of the course of tablets for 3-4 days from memory and that was it I didn't have any hayfever problems for the rest of the year.
Couple of issues though,
1) It has to be prescribed by a doctor (well atleast in Oz it does) which wasn't a prob given my condition lol
2) It's not for long term use
3) It's listed as a performance enhancing drug so if you're racing at the elite level then it's a no go for you
Hope it helps0
