OK my over all plan its just to build a bike from bits.
I want to try to get the bulk of it together to give me something to do over the winter when i just cant face another gym run or cold wet run.
Im also wanting to learn how to fix bikes and im thinking that getting one in bits and putting it back together could be a good way of doing that.
the reson that im looking at the older/ cheaper is that i can then service the parts as they come in/ like the BB or the rear shock. I also want something that will stand out once its finished and i thought for £70 that orange frame was a good start. ( the fact i like green has nothing to do with it  )
the kind of bike im looking for would be the mid travel all mounting/ XC kinda feel.
im riding a HT XC bike atm and want more bounce.
hope that makes things more understanderbal rather than the drool i produced early while at work.

    Ok, that's cool. So, if you're after a mid-travel all mountain/XC kinda thing, how's about a....
    Marin quad link frame
    or a Specialised enduro 2004
    or a Scot Ransom 30
    Just for starters.
