Servicing Campag vento/scirocco wheels

Is this easy for the average home mechanic to do? I guess I am needing cone spanners, ball bearings and grease but what type?
Or am I better off going down to my local LBS and getting them to do it?
Also, on the campag website for the hubs it advises to lubricate the hubs. Can you do this without taking them apart?

If you don't have the original wheel manuals you can download them from the Campagnolo website which contains the parts diagrams. Depends on the design of the hubs, some use loose/caged balls whereas others used sealed cartridge bearings. For loose/caged balls, depending on the level of contamination you can either just inject new grease into the hub - or alternatively remove the cones, axle and bearings, clean in solvent, reassembly and regrease. For cartridge bearings, it's usually a case of knocking out the old ones and simply fitting new ones. When you spin the wheels in you hands, is there discernible roughness or play on the axle?Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

No grinding or anything like that so I think they are still good to go. It is one of those things where if you where shown what to do then it would be quite easy to have a go yourself.
