I'd like to see an English referee in the final.

This must be what it's like to be Scottish. :(

I was hoping that because the only UK team, even vaguely capable of competing internationally, wasn't init, we'd manage to avoid wall to wall TV coverage.
Where's the box for "Couldn't give a flying funk" ?
OK, "Other" it is then! :D

That would be the "other" box

You didn't include the Champions Greece who, unlike France, have actually won a few games since they last took a trophy.

Lightning doesnt strike twice  Voted for the Dutch. Romania may cause a shock or 2 but they are in the "group of death" and I cant see them getting out of it.

You are limited to the amount of options that you can put in.
So if you think Greece vote other and state it in an reply

Everyone seems to be writing off the Germans again. But they can cause a surprise or two. The favourites seem to be Spain and Ronaldo's XI but I think these two may come up short.

Four matches in and it seems to me it's a good job we (England) didn't qualify. It would have been embarrassing watching the Germans or Portugal take the proverbial. To call Fabio's men one-dimensional makes us out to be more technical than we are.

As a regular at Hampden Park, it occured to me last night that we, rather than Italy, might have been playing the Netherlands.

I might have spent a lot of money travelling half way across Europe to watch the game.

I might have spent a lot of money on beer.

I might have spent the night in a tent.

I might have woken up with a hangover and aching for a pee.

. . . and since we would have been completely gubbed, I'm secretly quite pleased that it was Italy rather than us that took the field!

I think that says it all, Squaggles. £130,000-a-week is taking the p*ss quite frankly. They're driving around in Bentleys on Morris Marina talent.

Am losing interest in it now, although will still be cheering on the Dutch. Watching National sides play is getting very dull nowadays, the fear of losing outweighs the desire to win and more importantly to entertain. Hence my support for the Dutch who seem to still remember what its all about. Brazil v Argentina kicks off tonight at 1.30am. If I dont stay up to watch then it will be a great game, if I do it will be a simulation fest :? *

Roll on August 16th and the proper football again. COYS :D

*Im not saying that English players dont dive, Michael Owen and Stevie G are both world class simulators. In fact it pees me off that when they do it to johnny foreigner its "clever", Monsieur Jean Foreigner does it to us then its the end of civilisation  .

Anyway shouldn't you be a Tranmere fan being from that side of the river. :D

So glad to see Italy go out last night. They really are to world football what Bolton are to the Premiership. Boring, tetchy, negative and lucky (except for last night).
