what do you think would the damage be too much to set a new bike from or
do you also think that the shock would be knackerd. Im planning to build up a full sus fomr parts as cheap as poss as a side project as i a main bike that i love thats a HT.

Bust frame.
Structural weakness.
Accident waiting to happen.
Try something else.

From the third pic it looks like its on the chainstay near the dropout. A heavy/badly timed landing could snap it. I've heard that aluminium doesnt retain as much rigidity after a weld, but i could be wrong.

like torres i could be wrong, but i think that the ally has to be heat treated again to be strong enough again. if ally loses rigidity when welded then we are all screwed on our TIG welded frames! :shock:0

It is a big risk. The frame from my knowledge would need to be re heat treated.0
