Pinnacle Evolution or Rockhopper?

I'm looking to get a new mountain bike and am considering either a Pinnacle Evolution 2.0 or a Rockhopper Comp. The Pinnacle was originally out of my price range, but noe it has been reduced to £850, it looks a decent bike for the money.
I'm looking to do mostly a combination of XC trail and road riding (to get to the trails and go between them!). It'll be mostly used on muddy Hertfordshire trails.
In particular, I'm interested in frame quality, as all the other bits could be upgraded over time.
A particular attraction of the Pinnacle is that it has a good spec and should hopefully be less nickable than the Specialized as it's not so well known!
Cheers,
Martin

The Rockhopper has an excellent frame, and well worthy of upgrading over time.
I`ve not seen any reviews of this particular Pinnacle, but spec is very similar.
I`d personally go for the Rockhopper.
BTW I`m also in Herts.Let me know if you want to know where to ride locally.2006 Giant XTC
2010 Giant Defy Advanced
2016 Boardman Pro 29er
2016 Pinnacle Lithium 4

No idea re: Pinnacle but I love my 2008 Rockhopper...which does me nicely messing around in the woods in Herts and tech trails in forests and hills elsewhere. Boyfriend also has one... he upgraded from a Hardrock and swears by Specialized
Any tips re: places to go in Herts other than Chicksands would be greatly appreciated. On the weekends when we can't stick them on the car and travel for 4 or so hours it's difficult to find as much fun locally.0
