Hi, can anyone tell me of a chainstay protector that actually fits the current Orange 5 swingarm? Ive tried 2 but both too small even though the dimensions seemed ok. That paint must be tough - not gone through it yet but its only a matter of time....

  • I've fitted a Lizard Skin chainstay sticker to the bottom of the swing arm, there's a few marks on it but no others above it. If you get the carbon leather one it'll probably be quieter too.

I did remove a link from the chain to take up some slack so maybe that's why I don't need a full swing arm protector.

Which ones have you tried dave?

I bought a lizardskins neoprene swingarm protector when i bought the bike and its fine.

Granted, its rectangle and doesn't taper in like the swingarm but the velcro is decent, it can be adjusted and if in doubt cable tie or tape it.

This also provides much more protection to the swingarm than a standard chainstay protector.

Thanks for that. Ive tried the race face one it seems that was the biggest of the lot but no go. Ive seen the Lizard Skins one so thanks I think I will go for that.

    Cheers.
