Cracks in Gear Cable?

I noticed a load of small hairline cracks in my gear cable yesterday.



No problems with shifting at the moment but I guess it is tiime to replace (about a year old).

In time water will ingress and give problems, get new and replace.

No. Just seems to have developed loads of small cracks along the length.
