Blazing Saddles !!

The saddle that cames as standard on my Trek 1000 racer was a 100% sadist. It even looked like a vicous piece of work and after a few miles , despite wearing quality padded cycling shorts, it literally tore the @rse clean off me. I invested in a nice gel saddle and it was dipping my butt into soothing cool waters by comparison.. I just dont know why the bike came with such a nasty saddle ...........like sitting on rough grade sandpaper for the duration of a journey.

Anybody else ever have a racer that came as standard with an @rse wrecker calling itself a saddle ? What did you replace it with and were the results better for you ?

Was that the bontrager one? I had a Trek 1000 and the supplied saddle was really comfy! Perhaps I've just got a rock-solid arse..... (Now on a Selle Italia C2 which is mighty fine)
