Mavic xm819 advice

I want to switch my mavic 719s for the ust 819 setup.
I have a truing stand and will be transferring my pro II's from the 719's.
Is this going to be a tough job to do, I'm use to truing rims but have never built from scratch.
Also do the 819's take regular spokes/nipples? Can anyone advise which ones and lengths I'll need?

XM 819Do not use any rim tape
ETRTO compatible size: 559 x 19c
Recommended nipple length: 16 mm
Recommended tire widths: 1.50 to 2.30
Valve hole diameter: 6.5 mm
XM719 Disc.ETRTO compatible size: 559 x 19c
Recommended nipple length: 12 mm
Recommended rim tape: 559 x 20 x 0.6
Recommended tire widths: 1.50 to 2.30
so IF your rims are XM 719 you can just swap the rims over.
Also presuming the info on Mavics webby is correct.
Should add not the easiest to start on as there is the extra alloy insets in the rims."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

will the nipple length matter? Also how do the spokes fit into the rim as its not like you can see the through the rim from the top on these ust's?Ibis Mojo SL-r0

The spoke and nipple sit in an extra nipple which threads in to the rim. You'll need aspecial tool for it

i would prob just fit a stans kit instead if i were you, costs les and is just as reliable as the mavic rims.
i am running stans on my old stumpy and it is faultless. that said, i am running mavic ust on my other 2 bikes and they are just as good.0 -
Great pic, that explains well. Do u get the tool with the rims?
I'm actually running stans at the moment but in the last 2 rides I tore the sidewalls on 2 different tyres. I just want some tougher ust tyres and look forward to a wheelbuilding projectIbis Mojo SL-r0 -
Mine came with the bike, so I didn't get a tool. I believe they do come with a plastic one that's a bit weak. You can get a metal one with the splined key and normal spoke keyon one tool, but I can't remember who makes it,might be Park Tools?0
