Bent middle chain ring

Hi folks
Can you give me some advice on how to fix a bent mid chain ring. About one fith of it is not running true. Firstly am I able to bend it back into shape or do I need a new ring?
If I can bend it, which is the best technique. Take the ring off and bend it in a vice, or keep it on the chainset and bend it there?
Many thanks

If you can get at it on the chainset, use an adjustable spanner and gently bend back.0

I have tried that, but it's too tight aginst the large chain ring0

Will have to take it off ans use the vice, unless you can somehow hammer at it from the back using a soft punch.0

PS cant yuou just take the outer ring off, thus exposing the middle?0

.. now why didn't I think of that!
