a bit ugly ?0

like the new chainsets, well the hidden bolts, not sure about the colour scheme though...0
-
A couple of scuffs from an overshoe and that chainset will look well tidy! Hasn't anyone told Shimano that if you make a chainset in aluminium, theres a good reason to leave it polished or clear anodised.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

I think it looks good, the colour is a bit like Ultegra SL and in a few years time all Shimano stuff will probably look like that with the sti cables intergrated like Sram and Campag have already done.
Not sure about the new Sti shape its a bit like the older 7,8,9 speed levers before they were made bigger like all of this years Shimano.0 -

That looks amazing. Better start saving up. The Dura Ace Compact is a winner.

yep, nice to see they've provided a compact
however, you're stuck with DA rings by the look of it so hopefully they'll provide more options than their usual 34/50Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0 -
This DURA-ACE group is the ultimate combination of state-of-the-art technology, lightweight design and innovative appearance. It sets a new standard in road racing technology, in which details are nowadays more important than ever.
I think i need a new bike !0 -
I must admit that even as a Campag man I think the new Dura Ace looks great.'Hello to Jason Isaacs'0

Looks nice, much like new XTR which is great (but still scuffs up). Interesting that they are using the old pinch bolt method rather than the crank bolt method on XTR. It means the cranks will still be quite thick at the BB.
Glad to see they've finally embraced Compact.
The new cassette ranges look really good though. Campagnolo could do with taking note.
Is anyone else a bit cynical about the constant improved stiffness/lightness that manufacturers always claim?0 -

To be fair, Shimano openly said they were'nt pursuing the carbon DA cranks even though they would probably have sold thousands.0 -
it should be the lightest of the gruppo's available seeing how theyve made it out of what looks like mid-grey plastic
apparently their fishing tackle is quite good though 'dont forget lads, one evertonian is worth twenty kopites'0 -
UGLY!! I thought Campag might be losing in the beauty stakes with the introduction of UT and skeleton brakes, but this is something elseYou live and learn. At any rate, you live0

I was always a campag man and have 2006 record on one bike and now dura ace on another.
I really like the simplicity of dura ace and how it works, and am pleased they finally got round to making a dura ace compact crank.
I am looking forward to the electronic version of dura ace.0
