...as in "flamin' 'eck is this JUNE?"

Grey and gloomy at 6 30, add drizzle as pedal off at 7, by quarter past heavy, nasty, cold, RAIN. Soaked through.

Huh.

Out with gilet and armwarmers @ 06:20, gilet in pocket by 07:45, followed by armwarmers 10 mins later - short sleeves since then. Slightly toasted by the time I got home @ 10am.

    Cloudy and dull now, though

    Huh.

Same as me left at 06:30 got out towards willoughby and the heavens opened, gritted teeth to Radclffe and then back throug the vale, cold and wet and a nasty grinding from rear cassete :(

Also came across the contents of some poor womans car that had obviously been robbed, credit cards, drivers licence, cheque books etc etc etc, gave them to the local police so did my good deed for the day.

Now settled watching Alvin ans the chipmunks with the kids and a few bottles of innes and gunn ale.

Don't quite know how to put this, but......
Out at 8:50, short sleeves, sunshine, 15 miles to cafe stop, sweating buckets (uphill and.....sunshine). Very pleasant half an hour watching runners get ready for 10k race round Llys Y Fran reservoir, then home in more sunshine, nice cheese and tomato sandwich and snooze in front of Moto GP for an hour. Typing this in preparation for full Sunday dinner of roast chicken and all the veg, then more snoozing for a while :P
PS you've probably left it too late now but I live on the route of the Tour of Pembrokeshire and it's always like this  except when it's grey and windy.....like yesterday come to think of it!
If you haven't got a headwind you're not trying hard enough
  • Although grey it was warm and dry, with the cloud lifting by 3-30 around SE Wales. Almost windless so perfect for a hard 40 miler. Even better I managed to fix my summer bike so it was a really enjoyable morning. Knocked 3 mins off my PB for the loop, and also fastest time of the year up the climb of Rudry mountain. Shame its not translating into improved results when actually competing this year....

67 mile in heavy rain, headwind home and not to warm either. Overall a miserable ride

Slashed it down all day today, but I did get in 70 miles yesterday in the nice sunshine. :D

Bizarre how the weather is so changeable day to day!

Was going to do a few of hours today, but I had only done a few miles when it started to pi$$ down. Stayed out for an hour or so but had enough. Had to wring the water out of my socks when I got home. :(
