Was looking at options for Bike insurance, and thought Evans looked quite good. Six quid a month for new for old replacement including accidental damage. Any thoughts? Anyone already using Evans?

Depends on how much your bike is worth I guess.

Obviously. My point is that more than £500 a year to insure one bike is hardly a good deal is it?

After looking around, I called Norwich Union who do my buildings/contents insurance.

Policy covers multiple bikes, premium is based on the value of the most expensive (£1250 in my case). Cost just over £3.50/mth new-for-old, and while it needs to be secured whilst unattended outside the house there were none of the requirements for particular locks, chains, rottweilers that some policies came with. Personal Liability cover was already provided under the policy anyway.

So the short version - try your house contents insurer.

    Steve.
