seat post removal
Hello
maybe this is already addressed under a FAQS section but I have an aluminum seat post that is seized into a steel frame ( a Merckx no less!) and unfortunately it has also snapped off. Aside from cutting it out is there a chemical way I might avoid the dullness of a hack saw. Someone once mentioned the idea of using caustic soda to melt the alum but not the steel ?!? does that sound right ? anyway I have freed many a seat post in the past through soaking but this is the first to foil me so any ideas appreciated as I want to actually try this frame out !
