French sportive in September

Has anyone got any suggestions for a French sportive in September?

I would do Spain or Italy but can't get the languages, so prefer France. Any alternatives?
There's no such thing as too old.

You should have a look at the Lapebie, which starts in Bagneres de Luchon and takes in the well known cols of ARES, MENTE, PORTILLON and last years new entry to the tour the Port du BALES.

This is their 20th anniversary event which will be complemented with a race around the town on the Saturday evening before the race itself on Sunday the 7th of September.

I posted about a Tour de France ride but no replies there so far, I noticed the same people who run that are doing a September sportive which interests me as well and will be less of a clash for me with work...

My ambition is to do the Vercors Drome - stunning scenery - but probably not until next year. It's 30th August this year.

Try the "bosses du 13" on 16.09.08 which heads out of Marseilles and in to Provence. It's run by a major cycling club along with the regional council and offers great scenery, 3 routes, 3000 riders in a massed start, some closed roads and police stopping traffic for you everywhere. Great fun. Hope to repeat it some day.

I'll be in that part of France on hols then. Good link, thanks.

For an easily accessible ride there is always the Ronde Picarde

Les Routes du Ventoux on September the 7th is a brilliant event, about 3-400 starters and there's a fantastic 19.5km time trail the day before up the beautiful Gorge de La Nesque near Sault.
The main even is 150km and ascends Mont Ventoux via the Malaucene route. Very friendly atmosphere.
