CO2 Canister on Planes

Is there any problem taking the little CO2 canisters on aeroplanes?

    Yup - Civil Aviation rules specifically prohibit the carriage of pressurised gas containers of any type in your luggage - you'll have to try and source some locally. You could try leaving them in your bag, but they will show up in an X-Ray and could either result in them opening your bag to remove them or even worse, leaving your luggage behind. For the cost, it's not worth the hassle.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    Would that cover deoderants(sp?) if so I always take a spray one and I have never had a problem ...

    When they clamped down on security at first i had to take my lynx deodarant in hand luggage cos cabin is pressurised but then the banned liquids in hand luggage so i took deodarant in suitcase. If anyone knows if this was wrong i too would like to know as i am off to lanzarote again in 2 weeeks

    Officially they're not allowed, but it would appear they're not that obvious on x-rays, particularly if packed in with various other metal bits like bike tools...
