Is there an answer to this question?

OK a few weeks in and i have been exploring the local terrain and have found a couple of adhoc but well ridden trails through some woodland which I have enjoyed.
There are bike tracks and so other people are using these areas too..but I haven't seen anyone yet.
the question is....is there any way of telling which way I should climb the loop?
I don't want to come hurtling down the ascent or get hit by someone charging towards me as I huff & puff the wrong way up the trail. Being woodland visibilty is low and there are no man-made obstacles to suggest direction.

if there are no way markers then you will have to see if you can tell by the track (of course presuming that the tyres have been correctly fitted)."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Unworn areas before or after jumps indicating run in direction?
Kneel with your ear to the ground Indian tracker style before riding!0 -
I think I'll just keep riding until I collide0
