Arm warmers: what size to order?

I want to order some Nike arm warmers over the net (never had any before) and am unsure on sizing. Are the sizings based on length of the arm warmer, girth or both? I have slim arms (not like Rasmussen's). Any ideas? I read somewhere that Nike's medium legwarmers are big so I wondered if their medium arm warmers were also geared towards the larger rider.

Hi there.
I've got a pair that are just too slim for me... I've used them twice and they're doing my nut in... Yours for a fiver if you want them? They're Polaris size small/medium, about £13 new.
