As some of you may know from the 'general' section I shall be picking up a Gary FIsher Rig (2007 model) from Evans on Saturday. Here's the spec:

I managed to get it for £449.99 which is a total bargain given that the Reba alone are around £300 for the 29er version. It has a sorted frame and some solid (if a little weighty) kit on it.

The only area where I am REALLY fussy is the wheels. I have run Bonti wheels before and never really got on with them... so my plan is to run the stock set into the ground then get a new set built. This bike shall be used a lot whilst I am getting fitness back so a nice tight and stiff set of wheels is a must and this bike shall get some serious upgrades when parts wear out. It has a solid frame and fork combo to work on. Apart from the awful saddle which shall be swapped at the shop (they are crap - again through experience)

Now my question is where can I get some decent 29er wheels made up, singlespeed hubs etc... tried Merlins and I can't find any online???

I am not sure as to rims, SS hubs etc (would prefer SS specific rather than adapter) as this frame is SS only and they will only be used on this. I guess my budget would be up to £300 for the set.

All suggestions welcome.
