I currently have a polar CS 300 which is a watch style HRM that you can us off the bike. and I find it difficult to check my speed etc.
I am thinking of attaching a simple wired/w.less computer to both my general and race bikes.
Would It be a problem with either?
I have the Cateye Strada Cadence on my fixed but am looking at the basic strada.
Any opinions?

Not quite sure what you're asking, but I use both a Cateye Mity and my Polar S710i on a bar mount - the Mity has a wired sensor and I also have a separate Polar speed sensor (though I have plans to integrate the Polar with the Cateye sensor). Can't see why it should be a problem - personally I like to be able to see current speed, distance, time and altitude without having to press buttons to switch between them.

I's difficult to see your watch when you're at 25 mph on the drops or concentrating on powering up a hill.

I'll go with wired I think

You can get a bike mount for the Polar so you can stick it on your bars (search for "Polar CS Bike Mount"). Personally I use two computers, a Garmin Edge and a basic Cateye Mity 3- use the latter for speed and keep the Garmin doing the stuff it does best (HR, cadence, altitude, grade, etc.) Wired works well for me.

Was missing the point - thought I had. Yes you can get bar mounts - my S710i is a watch style wrist mount and I have a bar mount for that. A but of pipe insulation foam also works fine for this.
