Tyre direction

Sorry to seem such a numpty but in order to turn my race bike into a tourer I've just got hold of some Specialized Armadillo All Condition tyres. Now In the absence of any direction markings I could pretty much make a case for either direction. At first glance I assumed it would be the point of the 'V' first, but it seems that it is'nt quite a simple 'V'.
Any help much app.

Sorry if you've already checked, but are you sure there aren't any markings on the tyres? I say this because I have the same tyres (albeit they're a year or two old) and I didn't spot them at first. However, they definitely do have direction markings - they're not that easy to see though as they're the same colour as the tyre wall. They're a couple of inches to the side of the red and white logo, just above the rim.

    Hope this helps

To be honest it doesn't make much difference - there's been plenty of discussion regarding the merits of tread directions on tyres - because of the roughness of the road surface and the speed / pressure of the tyre on the surface, it doesn't make much difference.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Thank's David (Brookter), I've just had them under the big light. I was looking around the logo and sure enough what they've done now is added a few arrow chevrons next the construction details. Thanks again.

Yes I tend to agree Monty, but I just know it would be bugging me especially when I'm descending Ventoux in the rain.
    Thanks Monty
