File transfer to edge 305

I've now had an edge 305 for a while and it's great for general training data and saving rides as courses.

However.... I can plan a ride in mapmyride and save it as a garmn file. I can also import it into the Garmin training centre, but when I then try to export to the edge there is a problem. The screen on the edge says transfer complete, but a message appears on the computer saying there is a problem with the connection. The connection appears to work for uploading data from real rides to GTC and changing them into courses and sending them back to the edge.

Any suggestions?

    I had this problem a few weeks back.

    It was solved in my case by downloading the latest firmware from www.garmin.com and then doing a reset on the 305.

    Reset the 305 by turning it off, power the unit back on, whilst pressing the "Mode" and "Reset" buttons at the same time. Let go of those two buttons, press the power button, and the unit will turn back on.

    This worked for me, so you may as well give it a go! :wink:
