Rockshox Revelation Rebound stiff

After a few muddy rides, the red rebound adjust on my revelations has become filled with dirt. Can the dial be taken off for a clean? If so, how? I don't think this is covered anywhere on this forum...

    So no unscrewing necessary? I just need to give it a good yank in the downwards direction. Is that really it?
