I haven't received anything, but wasn't really expecting to - I thought it was just a case of turning up at the HQ and signing in?

Hope to see you there.
Are you going to try to set a time this year rather than spend 15mins chatting in the car park before signing off0 -
You can download a list of "on the day procedures" here.

I know, I know...but it was actually the 25 mins spent in agony with cramp (in the middle of the road) at Bosley lights; that did for my time.
I'm looking for a time around what you did it in last year ...I think about 6:10.

Anyone signed up for the polka dot and can't make it? I'd like to do the ride as it's local but the event is full and I need to buy an entry....0
-
Hi, I have an entry place.
I don't think that I will be going on Sunday.
You can have it for what I paid for it, If you want.
It was £20 or £25 - I will double check.
Do you have a Paypal account?0 -
I've entered, though I'm really not ready for it. Not been on the bike for any serious miles at all this year, and got an exam the next day. Expect a SLOW time from me.0

I have a few of my cycling buddies taking part in this years PDC, we all are cycling from Calais to Nice in 2 weeks time. There useing it as a training ride, for the 2nd year in a row i just didnt fancy doing it after taking part in the 2006 PDC.
Well weather permitting ( so far sunday is looking ok ) i will be heading out to Castleton with my EOS 40D to take a few snaps of them grinding it up Winnats. I get the feeling a fast shutter speed and a rate of 6.5 frames per second will not be needed.0 -

ditto............70 miler for me!0 -
Well that turned out wetter than I expected but at least there was next to no wind which made it bearable. I resisted putting on a rain jacket until the first feed thinking it's bound to clear up soon but it just wasn't to be and it didn't really ease until we got to Hope only for it to start again after the second feed.
Impressed as ever by how well run this event (and the Spud Riley) is, hope it raises plenty for Christies.0 -
I think I should be happy with 6.32 bearing in mind the rain... and I'm not in agony this evenin...result
Nice to say hi to CbyN and Tom B from the old c+ forum, what times did you guys do?some bikes and sheep and stuff:

Thanks N de P - good to see you too and well done on the time - we've probably been doing a bit more training than we admitted to each other the start
. Were you able to get a new start time after going back for your number?
I got round in 5:54, thakns in no small part to thetrotter. We started at the same time but I had to leave him up the Cat and Fiddle as he was in a group I couldn't stay with. After Long Hill, I started riding with someone from Buxton CC and we were working well together up and down the Snake Pass forming a decent group along the way and we stayed together until Axe Edge. We caught up with thetrotter just after the Snake Pass who was in a slower group at the time and rode together for the rest of it. After Gun Hill, which I found tougher than a relatively benign Winnats today, the two of us were able to pick up another 4 cyclists for the run to the finish (not that they bothered helping at all). Thanks thetrotter for the tow at the end, wish I could have helped more but I didn't have much left by then
Did anyone see if the Mark Webber on the startsheet was the Red Bull driver? I know he did it a few years ago but wasn't sure if it was him this time.0 -

No problem. All part of the service and repays the tow you gave me up through Hope! Keep riding like that and you'll soon the under the hour. A bit too wet for me today and not helped by leaving my rainjacket in the car. Wondered about stopping in a cafe in Glossp and phoning my wife to pick me up but fear took over and I kept riding :shock:0 -
Sorry, not THE Mark Webber this time.0

I set off about 15 mins later and road with Kevin (tom bombadil) l, and later with a rider from work.
I think if I'm going to get anywhere near 6 hours i would need coaxing round by the likes of your self and thetrotter ( thetrotter...I think your a Macc wheeler? are you a Bolton fan, if so your ok in my book! )some bikes and sheep and stuff:
