Had a Ride to work voucher burning a hole in my pocket for a few weeks now and seeing that I have been ill for a few months now it's unlikely that I shall be commuting so thought I would buy a 'fun' bike instead - so ordered a BMX (We the people trust). Ordered it from Evans with said voucher and they said '2 weeks' delivery time. Have since been told won't be getting anymore in!!!!! For the foreseeable future anyway.

In the waiting time I convinced myself that it's a shame to have a BMX and just use it to run to the shop(s) on (save using car) etc so this morning canceled the BMX totally and have provisionally ordered a 29ER!!!!!!

Only a Gary Fisher Rig but seems a great bike for the money and at least when I am back to good health can get some miles in on it and increase fitness as its a SINGLESPEED!!

God, can't even ride my 9 speeds at the mo... so no idea how I shall get onto it

'Hopefully shall be picking it up from Evans next week but won't hold my breath until it's in my hands!!!! As they have problems with the online stock checker

Never thought I would get a 29er of all things.... no I have to figure out where to store the bloody thing - had a little nook under the stairs put aside for BMX but don't think it's gonna fit somehow

I built a WTP Trust yesterday, lovely looking little thing! It's a great offer on the Rig though, and I wholeheartedly support your decision. BMXs aren't real bikes anyway IMO!

Cheers Blackspur - spoke to the guy again at Evans and they are going to build it up for collection next Saturday arvo.

Great kit for the price (it was £800 - now £449.99!!!) as the Reba 29ers alone can cost £300.... Avid BB7 brakes/levers .... nice frame.... solid bonty kit... not the lightest but this isn't a race bike by any means  . And also very easy to service trailside.

The only immediate upgrade is the saddle as the bonty ones are awful... probably stick a SDG Bel Air on as they are great for all day riding

Am planning to go for a gentle ride along the river next Sunday. Due to being unwell I have not ridden for ages so am going to take it easy otherwise shall kill myself ... about 8 miles total, but all pretty flat.

Bit it's a start and if anything can get you fit - a 29er SS will
