fondo = suffering, torture, searing agony (in some regions also means "route")

So Smokin Joe isa neerly right with 'is "pain and misery"

According to BabelFish, "fondo" translates as "bottom" and "gran" as "great" - so "great bottom" is the official translation. I'm glad that's been cleared up then.
