rear dropout adjuster threads?

does anyone know the size of rear dropout adjuster screws...it looks like a BA thread or is it metric...before I buy a tap!
being a reformed stuntdrinker allows pontification

    Probably depends on the age/origin of the frame. The ones on my old Gios are certainly metric.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    M3 X 0.5
