Bike Stroage

Hi everyone,
I'm new and to cycling in general and have just today bought a Calude Butler Levante 2007. Anyway, my question is about bike storage. After shelling out £250 for a new bike, I'm a little concerned about storing it, I don't want to find it has rusted in a few weeks time.
Anyway, I plan to store my bike in a home made shed of sorts. There is a gap between our house extension and a neighbours house extension that is about four feet wide. Many years ago we put up a corrugated steel roof for it, along with a rather heavy wooden door. Anyway, this 'shed' seems to be water tight with regards to rain. In your experience, do I need to take some further measures to protect my bike? Dampproofing/insulation/protection from water vapour? I also plan to hang the bike on one of the concrete walls using a bike mount, on which the frame will sit.
Anyway, I thought I'd just take the time to use your experience and check if any of you have a similar storage method or experience any corrosion problems?
Cheers
Colin
