Can anyone with experience of buying online from Germany recommend a reliable retailer / site?

I am after an SKF ISIS BB in a size that Pace do not import into the UK (108mm to fit road double).

    Hi

I've used Roseversand? to purchase the odd bit or 2 of kit I can't find in the UK. Very reliable and despit having spent less than GBP100 with them over the years, they still insist on mailing me an annual brochure which weighs about 2Kg.

Not such great value at current exchange rates, though.

Bank to bank money transfers are VERY expensive (at least Yorkshire Bank are!) so a supplier that has PayPal facility would be the preferred way. Unfortunately most insist bank to bank - at least in my experience.

Delivery always first class via DPD so look for that.

I've used http://www.bike24.de a couple of times and they've been fine.

I use my brother , he is army and based in Germany so I send him shopping for me, the best part is he gets to reclaim German sales tax

I've used www.roseversand.de a few times for stuff I can't get in the UK - phenomenal range and wait for the massive catalogue to hit your doorstep! Euro exchange rate makes prices less attractive at the moment.

I've used www.starbike.com a few times. Most of the big shops/websites seem to take CCs as normal like UK ones. When I've used somewhere smaller which supposedly only does bank transfers I've always negotiated paying by Paypal instead (and paying extra for the Paypal fees, which is still a lot cheaper than bank transfer fees).
