Hi There,
I've been MTB now for a few years, amongst other sports, so i'm pretty fit and have done some races / 24hour solo. But my technical ability is really lacking in trail riding and i want to get better. (jumps, cornering, rock gardens etc)
Are they any kind of 'boot camps' that give you plenty of tution on riding - say 1 or 2 weeks in length? perhaps combined with a navigation and/or leadership course?
Thanks for any advice - it can be anywhere in the EU as long as its english speaking based.
Cheers
Tony

umm i wasn't going to put it that way but take yourself on a holiday to glentress or coed-y-brenin or afan. one of the big trail centres and have a good few rides on the trails there. look on the internet for how to guides - i found several while looking for photos of rockgardens. theres also the videos on this site. i'm sure one tells you about berms, another about jumping. I'd do that first as whatever happens you get a nice holiday and if it helps it'll be much cheaper too.
proper courses. the athertons do one? maybe? at llandegla i think theres something. glentress i think have something. got no links at the moment though.0 -
Yeah the athertons do a day long race school on how to handle most things you'll come across0

Check out www.dirtschool.co.uk they are doing XC and downhill courses. Thinking about doing one myself. If you check out some of the more local centre websites they often have or know of people who do private sessions.
It's all good chucking ourselves around mountains but somebody giving you direct feedback can help enourmously.0
