Is anyone taking part in the London Bikeathon? http://www.londonbikeathon.co.uk/
I'm thinking about giving it ago. Probably the 26 city route is best for me. Road tyres and gravel paths don't mix for the scenic route (my excuse anyway

Have not done it in at least three years. But when I did do it (about four times), it was horrible! I always did the city route. The road markings were not very good. Stopping and starting nearly all the time was not fun! Riding amongst traffic with novice cyclists was NOT fun!
The London Freewheel is a far better event to do (and take the family) because they close off roads to motorised traffic and there's a lot more space. And it's fun! 0 -
