Fork protectors/spacers

I am looking for spacers for my fork and rear dropouts for when I'm transporting the bike with the wheels removed. I am told you can get them to stop the forks getting snapped when the wheel's out.

But I can't seem to find them online anywhere.

Any ideas gratefully received.

You get them with new frames or bikes - I'd suggest asking the LBS for a couple.

I just cut a couple of blocks of wood the right size.

I use a pair of old hubs, seems to work ok for me and you know that they are going to be tough.

wow! that's is well poncy.

But even I (no stranger to spending large amounts of cash on unnecessary bike-related items) think that might be a little OTT given the rather excellent "bit of wood" suggestion.
