handle bar spacers

is there a handle bar spacer i can get to make my 26mm bars fit an oversize stem

    Yup.

    Is it fancy expensive bars that you have already? I only as because you can get half decent oversize ones for not much more than a shim at about £15-20 and they'll probably be a bit stiffer (and possibly safer) than 26mm shimmed ones.

    Browse the plumbing section of local DIY/trade shop or B&Q etc with a ruler to hand! I've used a copper sleeve with a slit cut in it for a perfect fit for this "bodge". About a quid as I recall.
