New Bike Choice
I am deciding on a new bike but need to use some kind of finance preferably 0%.
Options I have come upso far is:
2008 Focus Cayo mostly Ultegra at a push on the buy now pay later 12 month. £1099.
One LBS does 0% for 24 months on bikes of £1000+ so here I am looking at the following and will have a test ride,
Trek 1.9 Full Ultegra £1000.
Specialized Tarmac Elite Mostly 105 £1299.
Scott CR1 Team 105 £1399 i think but not in stock.
Specialized Roubaix Elite Mostly 105 £1099. If I go for more relaxed geometry.
Orbea Onix 105 £1199.
My other LBS has Giant, Trekor the new Raleigh range and will do low or 0%.
Any thoughts on the above bikes or any other options.
Mostly used for fitness, some TT/Tri and one or two sportive per year.
Thanks.

Sorry Mate, I've got nothing to offer in the way of help, but I too am looking for a sense of direction, and the Orbea Onix is the main one I am considering, mainly on looks and spec, nothing to do with what I actually need!
Hope this thread throws up the answers you are looking for.

If you want to broaden your horizons then the easy way to do this is to get yourself a 0% credit card for purchases for 12 months (HSBC are doing one at the min). The good thing about this approach is that you can pay it off monthly, or any time in between if you get an unexpected bit of money, rather than having to try and save and keep the money until you have it all before you can then make the pay off. You also get the whole range of LBS and online retailer to choose from.
Wish I could help on the bikes but saying as I am only in the process of buying my first road bike I don't think I can help much. With that budget you could perhaps add Planet X to that list and depending on where you live a test ride may be possible.
Best advice you will get is to test ride anything before you buy. Email Wiggle and ask for 7 day test ride on the Focus as they were prepared to allow me to do this even though the promotion is no longer running. All they can do is say no.0 -

A worthwhile option. However, most 0% credit options given by LBS are handled by a third party underwriter. You still have the option of paying over the first 12 months. You will receive a monthly statement, the same as you do with a credit card.0
