Servicing Time Impact pedals

Does anyone have, or know where I can find, instructions on servicing Time Impact pedals?
Mine are in dire need, but I haven't a clue what to expect if I start fiddling.
Thanks in advance,
Dave

I\'ve got a really witty sign-off but someone else is using it

I dont have instructions, but from experience I can tell you that getting them back together is pretty tricky.( Hydraulic lock i think)
be very careful getting the bearing off the axle. there is a brittle plastic 'shaped washer' that is very easy to crack while extracting . this is the spacer that the circlip goes up against.
I havent tried the needle bearings right down the thin end of the axle though.
give it a go.0 -
In theory Time pedals are not to be serviced.
In the 15 years I've used them I haven't needed to service any of mine
So the question is - why do you have to service yours?0 -
To remove the spindle and bearing assembly, it it retained in the body with a cir-clip. Use a small screwdriver to try and hook the end of the clip and draw it towards the spindle centre - slowly work it round to release and try and not to twist / bend it otherwise it will be difficult to replace - once remove the spindle assembly slides out. Serviceablilty depends on the degree of wear or damage - apart from cleaning and regreasing, I've never sought to strip down further.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

IME they do wear out. after a few hard winters they are griitty.
The main OEM bearings are only sealed on one side so get the dual sealed replacements.0 -
Thanks guys - I think I'll leave it until the end of the season as they're only just gritty at the moment - I think they only need a clean and re-grease in any caseI\'ve got a really witty sign-off but someone else is using it0
