DH in the lakes and scottish borders

I am planning a long weekend (probably 4-5 days) with a couple of mates. We're thinking of heading to the lakes and or scottish borders and i'm looking for any ideas on places with some decent downhill, it doesn't have to be full on dh courses but none of us are exactly cross country fit
Hope someone can offer assistance

    Ae forest in the Scottish borders has a downhill course - one of the 7stanes

    If you can be arsed to push up Skiddaw or High Street the descents are supposed to be pretty good.

    cheers for that, we managed skiddaw last year when we went and i think we'll have another go at that. i'll have a look into ae as i have heard some fairly good things about it
