58 or 64 PCD??

Hi. I am getting a new outer chain ring for my bike, but have been confronted with a choice, 58 or 64 PCD...Could any1 please fill me in on what this means. Thanks.

bolt circle diameter. Pitch circle diameter.
and it will be neither of those.
what cranks have you got. and how many bolts hold the rings on. and what year are they.

I dont know what year it was released, but its a good 5-6 years old. (2002 I think)
iIts a FSA Alphadrive with 4 pins

outer middle rings will be 104mm bcd. and the granny will be 64mm bcd.
