nokia city runner tyres, anyone any info?

afternoon all :-)
been given a set of nokia city runner tyres (1.9x26) tyres to use on road for the commute.
anyone know owt about them? no info, apart from made in finland. seem to be a well made, but rather old design, cheers for the replies in advance.

    Ooh, I think that I have some of those. Put them on my old rigid MTB, 10 years or more ago. Got them because they were the cheapest MTB slick in my LBS at the time. Used that bike to commute with them on some years ago before I got a road bike for the purpose. Seem reasonable enough tyres, especially seeing as how cheap they were...

    cheers, i was looking at some specialized semi slicks for the commute, but a mate gave me these to use instead of spending 40 odd quid on some road tyres, and as i never look a gift horse, gladly took them. i'll bang them on and see what they're like. :)

    Used these myself when I was in the bike trade and up till I got my marathons, or rather I used Nokian City runners in 1.5. Still got an odd one looking at me forlornly now as it's partner split on the bead after 8 years service. Used to sell lots of them too.
    I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
