I bought a second hand 2007 focus raven at christmas with fox f100 rlc's on for £500 on ebay, the bike being unused till I bought it. However after about 15 rides they have started making a horrible grating noise in the first inch of travel, this goes away once compressed past the first inch. Now I cant get a receipt for the bike new so I cant get warranty on the forks, is it worth just changing the seals and oil or should I send away to mojo or TF to be looked at? There is no oil leaking so I am a bit confused and since they are air its not like the spring is rubbing the inside of the stantion.

Any advice would be appreciated

Mmmmm, sounds like a scored stanchion from the description, which isn't covered under warranty usually anyway, It could cost about £100 for a new CSU if it is damaged. Get an oil bath and seal change done, and cross your fingers. Good luck with it.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

I'd recommend a trip to a bike shop, I service all my own kit and do almost all jobs except for forks and hubs which i use my local shop for, I had a Spesh Rock hopper pro with standard forks, I had them serviced and they found the crown split, which was done under warranty!

I was so pleased it really did save my life, if it had gone on a trail I would have been in a real mess!

Worth sometimes having a second persons view !
