I have no idea what my hubs are and they have no markings and anything on them. Just a photo to see if people recognize them and wondering what a good 20mm 32hole hub is?

Cheers in advance

its just an unbranded cone and cup hub, most likely made by someone like quando.

    a good 20mm hub is a hope pro 2 20mm...

Wheel is an alex rims dp17.

I was thinking about getting a Hope pro hub 2. I really like hope stuff and the new dh stem I got is great.

If they are unbranded I assume they wouldn't be worth much. They freewheel really well!

in that case buy new wheels the rims are not worth re using.

Well I was thinking about getting halo free ride rims and halo hubs. I'm only 16! and am skint, every penny I have goes into my bike. I am going to get the new Marzocchi 55r freeride forks as they, at 140mm travel, are the largest forks my frame can take. Really it would probably be cheaper to get a different bike but I love my frame so everything on it will change. Including the paint.

What frame is it? (just interested)

On CRC there are some NS17 hubs that can take a 20mm axel on the front, they look OK, and you can get a decent complete wheel set with Mavic rims (EX series) for about £130. With a hope pro 2 you're going to end up paying a lot more than that!

    What bike are they on?

Looks like a bottom of the range Formula Hub to me.

My bike is a Merida AM500 http://www.moredirt.co.uk/ratebike.php?id=1398 There have been a few upgrades since this photo. Dmr v8s, titec elnorte proline bars, reflectors removed, mudguard taken off as its hot and a hope 25 deg 50mm downhill stem. I am going to be getting the halo rims http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Halo-SAS-Wheels-26-Limited-Edition-ALL-WHITE-New_W0QQitemZ110254053114QQihZ001QQcategoryZ58089QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1713.m153.l1262
eventually, but in black, so only need a 20mm hub so I can get my forks first. Hopefully Marzocchi 55r's 2008. Would it be better to just wait and do all the upgrades at once so I don't have to buy a separate hub? Do you think it would be cheaper to buy hubs and rims separatly. I can get black halo rims (pair) for £60 and then hubs for about £110?

Really pleased with the response I am getting.I will cycle to my lbs later when my handle bars turn up in the post!

why the SAS on that bike?

if you want halo what about the Tornados?

and buy built as it is cheaper than getting them built.

Only reason for sas is I like the flat and wide look of the rim. It says that they are also for dh and freeride, which is what I'm into. I know my bike isn't downhill by any means but I am turning it into freeride/ xc crossbreed bike.

can that frame REALLY take 140mm travel forks?
