I have had to return my Gore Ozon bibs after only 7 months because the seams were unravelling.
Should I replace them with another pair or should I go with a slightly more expensive set, such as the Assos.
Main uses are for TT and training rides of <50miles. I have suffered with saddles sores with the Gores although this might not be casued by the shorts.

Any advice (on which shorts)?

I'd personally go for the Assos everytime. In my opinion they are worth paying a bit extra for as they are just so comfortable to wear, and they just seem to fit so much better than other shorts. Ultimately though it's always going to be a subjective decision. A couple of my friends dislike Assos as they think the padding is too thick, but they are in the minority. Most people I know who have Assos love them.

I've just ridden the Etape Caledonia on Sunday wearing by new Assos Fi Uno S5 shorts. I now have a rather nice friction burn in the shape of a 1 inch oval just to the right of my spine on my lower back. The cause? If you look at the rear of the shorts there is a small, I'd say approximately 1 inch, oval badge type thing which is a raised bit of plastic or foam on the outside of the shorts. I assume it's there so when you're bent over on the bike it's visible. I have had my better half take some photos of it which I will send to Assos with a letter of complaint as it caused me a serious amount of discomfort on the day. Couldn't fault the shorts otherwise but don't think I should be putting up with that!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had exactly the same problem with the Early Winter Gloves!

They have the Assos oval raised logo on the wedding ring finger, which means when I wear them whilst wearing my wedding ring the logo causes pressure against the ring, which in turn causes pressure on my finger!

I've started to take off my wedding ring when wearing the gloves, but only after I've left the house and gone some distance, as my wife would do the usual womany thing of crying and saying that I was off seeing other women and didn't want them to know I was married!!
